Christy made this lovely dress for Lily out of one of Jason's button-up shirts that didn't fit him. It looks so cute on her! Christy is becoming quite the crafty woman.{p.s. don't mind Lily's food face ... looks like she enjoyed her lunch}

Fun with the fam at Ty Haslem's wedding reception Thursday night. They got married this morning, and it was a beautiful day for a wedding.

We had a little work party for Amber because her last day is tomorrow! She got a new job and is leaving us after this week. Linds brought this big yummy Costco cake and we had lots of chips and bean dip and queso. Yummmm.

Our food storage is taking over our extra bedroom (which is a complete disaster anyways). And yes, we do love cereal.
Day 87: Saturday 17 April 2010
We almost died at our ward BBQ when the hose on the propane tank started on fire. They disconnected it from the grill, but the hose was still burning and nothing they did would put it out (kicking at it, pouring water on it). We were standing about 3 feet from the tank, and all I could think was that it could explode any second but none of us ever moved. Even though it was burning their hands, finally one of the guys got a good grip and turned off the propane. The fire immediately went out and we knew it was divine intervention.

A girl in my Anthropology program put on a Bonafide Beauty day, "erasing the exploitation of beauty for profit", as her senior project. One of the activities was to clothe Sports Illustrated models. I was surprised at how dodgy these pictures were and had fun try to make them more modest. I just wish my red marker had been able to cover a bit more ...

We went to a birthday party for our friend Lacie. She had a movie in the park and we watched "Roman Holiday". Besides being really cold we had a fun time.

Exactly FIVE years ago today I received my mission call to serve in the Australia Melbourne West Mission. I am eternally grateful for that opportunity. It's hard to believe it has come and gone so quickly!!!

For Girls Night Out (while the boys were diligently listening to the Priesthood Session of General Conference), we went to a great Thai restaurant and then came home and colored easter eggs with the kids. Rylan accidentally smashed Christy's right before this picture, resulting in many tears. We had such a great time!

This paper was the biggest waste of time ever, but my teacher thought I understood the principles perfectly (which I did not) and that I did my best work (which, again, I did not). He always gives two BS awards and those people are the only ones who get 100%. Suh-weet! Maybe he is just playing favorites because I have endured his horrible classes for 4 semesters.

Dave's mama is in town and we got to have dinner with her and his brother Jake! We went to Wingers and had some good food (that Dave couldn't taste because he is sick) and then the free Asphalt Pie came out and it was huge. Good food & great company. I love my in-laws!

I got to spend some time hanging out with Natters, one of my besties. She is pregnant at the moment and is just so so cute. I have really missed her a lot and am happy we finally got to catch up.
