DAY THIRTY ... 30 January 2009

I love these kids! Christy got Rylan and Lily these new fuzzy blankets that have hoods on them and they just couldn't get enough. They have grown up too fast!

DAY TWENTY NINE ... 29 January 2009

I am noticing a trend in my recent product purchases. It is definitely not on purpose. Now you know why I smell good sometimes. :)

DAY TWENTY EIGHT ... 28 January 2009

I FINALLY got to see Angela Ipson again, after a very long month and a half break. She is one of my best friends and I have missed sharing life with her. It was a good time, with our traditional Cafe Rio dinner, some American Idol, and plenty of updates about boys and life. She is the best and I love her so much! And we even accidentally matched again, which we always seem to do. A big thanks to her boyfriend Spencer for surrendering her to me for the evening!

DAY TWENTY SEVEN ... 27 January 2009

So I know I didn't take this photo, but thought it was too good to pass up. I guess some of our students really love Prosper ... so much that they made a cake! Too bad they only shared the photo.

DAY TWENTY SIX ... 26 January 2009

Happy 90th Birthday to my dear Grandpa Stone! Honestly I am surprised he has made it this far and I am so glad. He is a fabulous grandpa and I love him dearly. We got to visit him at the care center and have a little party with him tonight.

DAY TWENTY FIVE ... 25 January 2009

There's nothing like walking side by side through the snow with a friend. Snow makes Sunday nights so peaceful and serene.

DAY TWENTY FOUR ... 24 January 2009

Tonight was my ward activity and we did a Chinese New Year. It was combined with two other wards and mostly we just had dinner. The food was great and it was nice just hanging out with friends. My ward is wonderful. And I love these girls. We are all putting on our sexy faces. Funny how different we all are!

DAY TWENTY THREE ... 23 January 2009

I still have this movie ticket in my pocket (found in the snow at the campfire site last Sunday), and I'm still wondering who it belonged to. I doubt any of these wonderful "Utah Mormons" would fess up. Haha.

DAY TWENTY TWO ... 22 January 2009

I have been texting a certain someone a lot lately. It's fun. Still not sure what to think. Good thing for unlimited text messaging at least.

DAY TWENTY ONE ... 21 January 2009

How much is that doggy in the window? My niece Lily decided it would be fun to climb into the dog's bed, and my nephew Rylan thought it would be fun to lock her inside. Silly children.

DAY TWENTY ... 20 January 2009

American Idol night at Dave and Justin's! We watched AI and made these 'spanish tortillas' as an experiment for an upcoming FHE. Dave and I got the torturous task of slicing the potatoes with crappy knives, and we both ended up with wounded fingers. It was heaps of fun though and the food turned out pretty good. We also watched 'Top Gun', which has been in the to-do list for ages and ages. It was such a good night. :)

DAY NINETEEN ... 19 January 2009

I was so sick on Day Nineteen that I laid in bed for 19 straight hours. Not fun. As a result, I didn't get to take any photos. However, I did recently find out that one of my favourite Aussie blokes, Jamie Korte, is getting married 16 May and really wants me to go. I am so excited because this is the perfect opportunity to go back there for a holiday. I have been thinking about it a lot and cannot wait to return to the place that is so close to my heart. This photo was taken with two of my favourite people at one of my most favourite places. My parents and I visited Australia 3 weeks after I returned home from my mission and were so blessed to be able to go back to Tasmania. Here we are at the top of Mt. Wellington, overlooking Hobart City. Oh how I miss it. It is so beautiful and the people are amazing. Tassie here I come!

DAY EIGHTEEN ... 18 January 2009

Once again I love Utah in the wintertime! I went on a little Sunday drive with Justin Nixon back to the bonfire site to try to find his cell phone (he lost it up there last night). We didn't find the phone but we did get some gorgeous photos and a chance to be in the beautiful weather. (And even better: we got home to find that someone had found his phone and returned it soon after we returned. Hooray!)

DAY SEVENTEEN ... 17 January 2009

I love bonfires in the mountains and I love hot chocolate. We got to go to the best bonfire with so many amazing people tonight. And they even made hot chocolate for us! With me in the photo is my friend David Cannon. He's hilarious and we have good times together. And check out my eyes in this photo. Aren't they pretty awesome? :)

DAY SIXTEEN ... 16 January 2009

Ward party at the Institute Dance! I haven't been to one of these in such a long time because I haven't had friends that were interested in going. But now that I have such amazing friends in my ward I have discovered that they love going so we all congregated there and had a blast. By the end of the night we had such an awesome group. Thanks to my fantastic friends for getting me out there!!! (Pictured: Diane Bowns, Paola Bautista, Jackie Craven, myself, and Megan Bowns)

DAY FIFTEEN ... 15 January 2009

I love the temple! And I especially LOVE the Draper Temple. My friend Tyson Jones got us tickets to the open house, so Tyson, Dan Scannell, Paola, and I all went together. We went to dinner at Jonny Carino's first and then we ventured over to the open house. We got to park in the VIP parking and felt like we were pretty special all night long. That temple is so incredible. I love it so so much. Afterwards we went to the little reception at the chapel by the temple and talked to the missionaries. We met Sister Lisiate, who is so awesome. I am so grateful for temples and missionary work. The Gospel is true!

DAY FOURTEEN ... 14 January 2009

Today started off great. I was walking out of my house in high heels and slipped on the icy steps outside my house. I rolled my ankle and landed on my knee. I am glad I was wearing the leggings so that my bare skin didn't get the entire blow, but I am sad that they got ruined the first time I wore them. I sat there for a minute and then got up and went to work because I was running late. I cleaned my wound once I got to work and was glad Linds wasn't there to have to watch. Now my ankle hurts. And looks nice and puffy. Well, at least both of my ankles match now, since I rolled my right ankle on my mission and it is still a bit swollen.

DAY THIRTEEN ... 13 January 2009

I stumbled upon this little gem today and had a good laugh. I can't believe it was taken over a year and a half ago. (it's a photo of a photo, so please disregard the poor quality) This was my very first date with Steve Bylund on 01 June 2007 and it was taken in a photo booth at Boondocks in Draper. We had so much fun. I swear I was in love with him from day one and there's no question why .... that finger up the nose is so attractive! Being so charitable I told him I wanted to keep the photo, but we both forgot about it by the end of the night and I accidentally left it in his car. I asked him about it later and he was convinced I had taken it. It was ages later that I found it in his car ... it had fallen down the side of the seat. It was an amazing surprise! Life has changed so much then, and I am really glad Steve and I are friends.

DAY TWELVE ... 12 January 2009

I seem to spend too much time on Facebook sometimes. I can't help it .... it has this addictive power. So terrible.

DAY ELEVEN ... 11 January 2009

Today was a totally awesome day, and this just finished it off. Pictured is me and Paola with Corey Groves and Rob Drury ... talk about blast from the past! They came into the chapel where we were and I knew who they were right away. I decided to go out on a limb and tell them that and it ended up being so funny! Rob kinda freaked out that I knew him because he has lived in California for the last 10 years. (he was Kim DeGroff's date when we went to Sophmore Slide in the same group when I was a sophmore -- I took Randy Bolick)(and I know who Corey is because Kim had a huge huge crush on him in high school) They are so nice, especially Corey. Paola and I never have a dull moment when we are together!!! (and yes ... we did ask them if we could take a photo with them ... I told them I needed it for this blog, and they probably thought I was a complete moron but acted nice about the whole thing)

DAY TEN ... 10 January 2009

You probably can't tell, but we are all sitting in/on a giant tube that looked like an air mattress. Tell me, do you think it looks safe? Honestly, I was scared for my life when I looked down that steep snowy hill, but we eventually got 16 people on that thing and it was so much fun, and no one got hurt! (well, maybe besides a bruised butt ...) The only people I know in this photo are myself, Paola, Dave Cannon (right in front of Paola ... he's in our ward), and Lindsi Sullivan (red coat right next to Paola .... we have known each other since 5th grade but haven't seen each other since we graduated high school almost 7 years ago! so randon and fun to run into her!). Rock Canyon in Provo is definitely a blast!

DAY NINE ... 09 January 2009

I love Kent and Eliza Raymond so much! They got married two months ago and are seriously the most amazing couple I have ever known. They had a housewarming dinner tonight and invited a few friends. They are trying to set me up with their friend Jacob, so he came and we had a nice chat. But really, Kent and Eliza are a perfect example to me of what I want in a marriage. And they are both older, so they are like success stories!

DAY EIGHT ... 08 January 2009

Paola and I have recently discovered our shared love for trail mix. And so when we ended up shopping together at Wal Mart tonight you better believe we both included a big bag of trail mix. Shopping with Paola was such a funny experience!

DAY SEVEN ... 07 January 2009

My co-worker, Amber Middleton, loves blood oranges. And I love me some fancy photography.

DAY SIX ... 06 January 2009

I finally got a chance to play in the snow today! My friend Tiffany Morin-Hernandez (who is Canadian, but was actually in one of my wards in Melbourne, and is now married to a guy in Spanish Fork but still has to live in Canada until she can get her visa to live here) is down for the holidays staying with her husband and so we got together to go snowshoeing. It was super cold and windy and blizzardy so we weren't out very long. But we had a great time! And we even found the phone booth just in case we got stuck.

DAY FIVE ... 05 January 2009

We got caught in the middle of a crazy as snowstorm today. It makes the roads impossible to drive on, but man is it beautiful.

Sunday, January 4, 2009

DAY FOUR ... 04 January 2009

Paola and I have started this little tradition that we stay after ward prayer until everyone leaves, and then we sit in the Relief Society room on the floor in the dark and talk about life. We have only done it twice, so it's probably only something we'll do like every month or something, but I really just love it because sitting in the dark makes it seem like you can talk about more serious things (and if you know Paola and I you know that we are never serious). I love Paola and am so grateful for her friendship!

DAY THREE ... 03 January 2008

I know this photo is a bit crazy ... that's why I love it! I had such a fun night tonight. My bestie Natalie Felt invited me to the BYU Men's Basketball Game where her husband Nate was doing the dunk show at half-time. We got to go on the floor during half-time to take photos and film the performance. After the game we went to Costa Vida to eat (and wait until traffic calmed down before trying to get our cars). Cosmo, the BYU mascot, let us ride in the Cosmobile, which was so crazy. This photo is of me and my new friend Matt Griff (who is kinda famous ... woot!), who was on the dunk team, and I shoved into the back of the Cosmobile. It was us two, Natalie, Nate, and another guy Dave, all in the back with big sports bags, lots of candy, and a huge mat. It was hilarious. Matt and I got lucky and found some Cosmo gloves to wear during our ride. Oh yeah, and we got free t-shirts and free dinner. What an awesome night! (the only thing that could have made it better: if BYU had won the game)

DAY TWO ... 02 January 2009

Never a dull moment at Prosper. Lindsey Andersen, my work manager, deals with some very interesting people. We have a co-worker that thinks it is impossible to remember to clock in and out everyday because it's not in his schedule or something. Whatever. He told Lindsey that we needed to put up a reminder sign, and she told him he needed to ok it with our boss because he's not a huge fan of putting up signs that look unprofessional. That was Wednesday afternoon. Lindsey was walking past the printer today and low and behold ... a sign! She was so shocked! I told her she should put a sign up that says "Did you get permission to put this sign up?" The funniest part ... our boss hasn't been in the office most of this week. Some people work well with others ... and the rest make things interesting.

DAY ONE ... 01 January 2009

First breakfast of the new year and Dave at Justin's! It was 1:30am and a perfect way to continue the New Years festivities. Pictured are Paola Bautista, Megan Bowns, Jenny Sargent, Dave Cannon, Justin Nixon, Diane Bowns, and of course ME! We had french toast, eggs, bacon, fruit, and fancy frothy orange juice. Thanks to my wonderful friends for helping me start the year off right!
Welcome to my newest blog project. I am starting what I am calling Project 365 and I'm kinda excited to see how it goes. Since I am famous for taking a million photos at one time I decided to put all that work to good use. Everyday this year, yes, all 365, I will post a photo with some commentary if necessary. Hopefully it will be of something important to me that day or someone who has made that day interesting in some way. Some days might take a little more creativity, but I hope this will help me in learning some new photography skills, as well as figuring out all the fun options on my camera. And just think, at the end I will be able to see my whole year in photos. How awesome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and you never know ... you might be inspired to start a little Project 365 of your own. Happy photographing!
