Day 35: Wednesday 24 February 2010

I love randomly winning things! My work manager Lindsey and I went to the Business Expo today (yearly tradition for us) and were quickly making our way through the lame booths. Suddenly this guy jumped out and asked us if we wanted to play a game to win a game. We told them no, and I really didn't want to. Somehow he talked us into playing this trivia game with 4 other people. So we had these little remotes with number keys on them and when a question came up on this tv we had to get the right answer the fastest to get points. The other people playing were really lame and boring, and seriously most of the questions were sooo easy! I ended up winning, and was so happy to get to take home this new Super Mario Brothers for the Wii! My dad has been talking about wanting this forever. It's like $50 if you buy it new, so I definitely won't complain. The funniest part is I have no idea what company they were from at all. They didn't make us sign up for anything or even take a flyer from them, so they gave me free stuff and I don't know who to thank. I guess they only did this think like twice or three times today so we showed up at the perfect time!!! The second funniest part was when I asked the guy if I could have a picture with him. I think he thought I wanted him or something, even though we had already discussed the fact that I do have a husband and I don't have a Wii. We tried explaining that I have this blog that I take photos for everyday. He was so awkward. Oh well, I'll take it for a free game anyday! Yay for me!

Day 34: Tuesday 23 February 2010

Dave somehow grew a spare set of arms. They were really helpful when he got working on a bunch of home improvement projects.

Day 33: Monday 22 February 2010

Christy and Jason trying to help us fix our water heater. Yes he is standing on him. They are hilarious.

Day 32: Sunday 21 February 2010

I spent the whole day sick in bed, but luckily not throwing up like my niece Lily. She projectile vomited three times, and luckily for Jason he got at least one of those straight to his chest. I think I'll take congestion over vomiting.

{Sorry if this photo is super disgusting. It was one of those candid moments that I had to capture. Poor Lily still tried to smile for the camera, even though she was still trying to barf and was sobbing.}

Day 31: Saturday 20 February 2010

My Kim is getting married in 3 weeks! We have been besties since we were 15 years old and it has been a great 10 years! It seems we have always experienced similar things in our lives at the same time ... boyfriends, breakups, missions, school, strengthening testimonies, and now marriage! I am so thankful we have been able to experience the marriage prep thing together. Too bad she is moving out of state right after she gets married!! I will miss her a lot, but then again I always do. She had a bridal shower t0day and it was awesome to get a minute to catch up with her. Love this girl!!

Day 30: Friday 19 February 2010

We had a ward activity that was catered by Costa Vida. If we got to make our own salads all the time, we'd put them out of business. So tasty!

Day 29: Thursday 18 February 2010

Keys keys keys. Lots of moving going on at Prosper. Lots of keys needed.

Day 28: Wednesday 17 February 2010

Once again writing a paper for Contemporary Theory and Debate. Who doesn't love Anthropological Theory? Oh yeah ... that would be me.

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Day 27: Tuesday 16 February 2010

I heart Spumoni.

And my beautiful red toaster.

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Day 26: Monday 15 February 2010

Tonight we babysat for Dave's sister Liz so that they could have a Valentine's date. Dave read the boys a story before bed and it was so cute. I am convinced he is going to be a fantastic father.

Monday, February 15, 2010

Day 25: Sunday 14 February 2010

Happy Valentines Day!

{P.S. Dave and I celebrate our first anniversary of our first kiss today. So happy I convinced him to give in and kiss me that night. }

Day 24: Saturday 13 February 2010

We did a big group date with our cousins and spouses and friends. We made the boys do an Amazing Race thing and the girls stayed back and made food and decorated. They spent almost three hours (it was supposed to take them an hour and a half) driving around getting lost and only having 1 flashlight for 8 of them and successfully completing 8 tasks. It's funny hearing all of the stories after the fact. We also made shirts that said "I Love My Wife" (which didn't really turn out) and "I Love My Husband". Loads of fun everyone!

{so I can't actually include myself in the "we" ... all I did was show up and help prepare food. all of the rest of the girls actually did all the work in putting it together}

Day 23: Friday 12 February 2010

Dave took me on a mystery date tonight. We went to the BYU Young Ambassadors 40th Birthday celebration concert and it was so fun! We were late and sat on the very back row of the top of the balcony, but it was still a great time. It was nice to go out on a date again and just have some good laughs.

{P.S. I have no jawline when I laugh like this ... attractive.}

Day 22: Thursday 11 February 2010

Amber received these in the mail from her sister. It was such a good reminder that Valentines Day is coming up and I get to spend it with my love! (plus the cookies are just super cute)

Day 21: Wednesday 10 February 2010

This came out of my instant oatmeal packet this morning. I was filled with fear that I actually eat these. It looked like a bone, but it was in fact sugar. My oatmeal tasted bland without it, so regretfully it just got melted back in. I might need to rethink my breakfast choice.

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Day 20: Tuesday 09 February 2010

Today I woke up to this on the counter when I went to eat breakfast. It's even one of my favorite cereals (Blueberry Muffin Tops). I love my Dave.

Day 19: Monday 08 February 2010

Held our first FHE together as a married couple and put together our budget. I have a love-hate relationship with money.

Day 18: Sunday 07 February 2010

We had a movie night tonight with Christy and Jason. We love hanging out with them!

{Sorry for the constant overload of wedding pics. They are my backup for the days I don't take any photos!}

Day 17: Saturday 06 February 2010

We finally put up this awesome light on our kitchen wall above the table. The lights in the kitchen aren't very bright, so we need some extra brightness. It actually isn't that bright so it just makes us feel like we are having candelight dinners. I love it. I think it brings a sort of art-ness to the apartment, which is super.

Monday, February 8, 2010

Day 16: Friday 05 February 2010

Happy Belated Birthday to my baby brother Matt. We went over to the 'rents house for some cake and ice cream and presents and Guitar Hero. It was really fun. And then the boys pulled out the swords and knives. Matt loves weapons. I can't believe by baby bro is 22!!!

Friday, February 5, 2010

Day 15: Thursday 04 February 2010

I love this picture. Mmmm he is so attractive.

Day 14: Wednesday 03 February 2010

Dave styling it up at Wal-Mart. We had some gifts to take back and a list of things to buy. Awesomely enough we almost broke even, so that's always a happy day. Love love love shopping with this guy. Always a good laugh.

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Day 13: Tuesday 02 February 2010

We spent most of the night installing shelves in our pantry and I am glad they are finally done! It has been a very big project it seems, but it will all be worth it. You should see the food storage piling up on our kitchen floor. It's shocking. We put some food on the shelves and got so excited. I feel like a kid in a candy store right now. Ooooh pantry shelves!!! We survived our first home improvement project together and actually worked so well together. I love Dave!

Day 12: Monday 01 February 2010

We took Claves up to the Gallivan Center for some outdoor ice skating. It was really fun and pretty cold. It's really great to get to hang out with one of my Aussie besties again, and it's so nice to see Dave get along with him. After ice skating we went to Buca di Beppo, my favorite Italian place, and had some good food and a ginormous salad. And then Claves got food poisoning. Awesome.

Day 11: Sunday 31 January 2010

Dave put our rings like this every night on our honeymoon. I thought it was precious. Now they sit next to each other in their ring boxes on the dresser. After a bit of a rough start, he forgot to put his ring on this morning and hated it the whole time at our new ward when we were introducing ourselves as the new couple and he wasn't wearing a wedding ring. Whoops!

Day 10: Saturday 30 January 2010

We got our wedding photos back today! I just love our photographer Kate and love our pics so much. It will be difficult to choose only a couple to frame for our wall, but at least we will know that they will be spectacular!

Day 9: Friday 29 January 2010

Doing homework and my apartment looks like this. I have no motivation to write a paper on Anthropological Theory. Instead I would like to clean up this mess and get some sleep.

Day 8: Thursday 28 January 2010

We've been married for a whole week!!! I can't believe that 7 days ago we were smashing cake in each others faces. Such good memories. I love David Cannon more than anything in the whole universe and am grateful for everything that he is.

Monday, February 1, 2010

Day 7: Wednesday 27 January 2010

Opening presents was so fun. We got some awesome presents and some interesting presents and some repeat presents. Good times!

Day 6: Tuesday 26 Januar y 2010

Modeling our awesome spa tub and huge bathroom in the Romance Suite. I want one of these at home!

Day 5: Monday 25 January 2010

A caricature we had drawn of us on the top of the Stratosphere. Neither one of us had ever had one done before. It was a fun experience but we totally look nothing like our drawings! I think I look like a weasel and I'm still trying to figure out who Dave looks like.

Day 4: Sunday 24 January 2010

Kisses from the top observation deck (109 stories up) of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas where we stayed in the Romance Suite for a couple nights. It was a beautiful night. I love my attractive husband so much!

Day 3: Saturday 23 January 2010

This luggage cart saved our lives, and caused us much laughter. The lady at Wal Mart bagged like 2 things to a bag, so we had a million Wal Mart bags to load. Needless to say we kept this cart in our room all weekend. We stayed at another really nice Marriott hotel in St. George for a couple nights and it was lovely.

Day 2: Friday 22 January 2010

My car the next morning. We weren't planning to take my car but Dave's had some technical difficulties, so there were warnings passed along that they were to be gentle to Miranda. They did well. And Dave surprised me on our first night and took me to this nice Marriott hotel in Provo. It was great!

Oh, and I love my new peacoat!!! Dave and I bought them for our wedding and are so excited to get to wear them!

Day 1: Thursday 21 January 2010

The day I became Mrs. Cannon forever. It was a perfect day and I'm so thankful for everything. The temple was amazing and this candid photo makes me smile. We look so happy and we ARE!
