DAY NINETY ... 31 March 2009
This may just look like an empty rug to you, but to me it is missing lots of shoes. My Groverzzines have gone home. :(

DAY EIGHTY SEVEN ... 28 March 2009
Sure, we attended the Festival of Colors at the Hare Krishna Temple. From this angle. Seriously, tell me who has this view of thousands of people throwing paint dust all over each other? And think of it this way: we saved our eyeballs, cameras, and potentially our lives by being in the car for the momentous occasion (not by choice but we'll roll with it).

DAY EIGHTY SIX ... 27 March 2009
DAY EIGHTY FIVE ... 26 March 2009
DAY EIGHTY FOUR ... 25 March 2009
I didn't take this on day eighty four, (it was day eighty three) but I just love it too much and didn't get a chance to take one today. Charlie, Dave's nephew, had his First Birthday party and it was so awesome! We had fantastic dinner, he got good pressies, and then had a blast digging into the chocolate cake. I just love Charlie ... cutest kid EVER!

DAY EIGHTY THREE ... 24 March 2009
I like to study under the table. So sue me. Dave and I were having a hard time not talking about our day and both of us really really really needed to study so I took some initiative and studied under the table. It worked like a charm! (and Dave thought it was so funny he had to snap a pic .... Yessssss .... I am training him well)

DAY EIGHTY ONE ... 22 March 2009
I had the privilege of attending the Draper Temple Dedication and it was wonderful. The temple is the most amazing place and I'm so grateful we have been blessed with so many in this area. Dave was unable to attend because of work, so I took his white handkerchief to use so that at least a part of him could be there.

DAY SEVENTY NINE ... 20 March 2009
Let's just say I really do have perfect timing. I was out to dinner with by bestie Natters and I was telling her about something. The same moment that I said the words 'perfect timing' I accidentally knocked a mostly-full glass of ice water in my lap. Could have been worse I guess. At least I don't look like I peed my pants ...

DAY SEVENTY SIX ... 17 March 2009
Ward Temple Night! I'm so grateful I am able to go this semester. It's definitely something I need. And awesome that Dave gets to go too! We went out to get ice cream after the session with Linda Walton and Danny Beutler (both in our ward as well) and had such a good time. We went to Yoasis, where you get frozen yogurt with berries and healthy stuff like granola for mix-ins. It was super good. Oh yea and it was St. Patrick's Day so Dave and I are sporting our green! Linda was wearing a green shamrock bracelet, but Danny had no green on so I made an effort to pinch him. :)
DAY SEVENTY FIVE ... 16 March 2009
Happy Australia Day all over again! I got such a nice little package in the mail on day seventy five. It was a little something put together by Ann Smith and Lucais Claven, two of my besties in Australia. It was meant to be something to get after Christmas and for Australia Day, but it didn't happen that way. I don't care! I was just excited to get it! It was just a bunch of Australian touristy stuff that you'd get at a $2 shop and I love it. Also, she sent this lovely blue necklace (which I am modeling in the picture) and she got it at the op shop at the Sacred Heart! Talk about sentimental! *single tear* It means so much to me, and I put it on as soon as I opened it. Thanks heaps my dear Smithie. Can't wait to join you in Australia soon!

DAY SEVENTY TWO ... 13 March 2009
I am trying to get more organized and have needed a bookcase for my room for a really long time. I finally scored and got one on a huge sale and put it together all by myself. Not that it's hard, but I'm pretty proud. Usually my dad does it for me, so I feel good that I can figure it out and not ruin it in the meantime. And now I have somewhere to store all my anthropology books. Yay!
DAY SEVENTY ONE ... 12 March 2009
I'm cleaning some stuff out of my brother's room for my sister to come and visit. I came across some old photos and had a good laugh. This photo is my two sisters, Christy and Angie (I'm the one in the middle) and our cousin Nate in the front. We lived in Iowa together and went to Monroe Elementary in Davenport, which is where this photo was taken. (I think I was 7 years old) I'm so excited to get together with my cousins next week when Angie is here. It's been so long and it will be nice to reminisce about old times.

DAY SEVENTY ... 11 March 2009
At my work we can nominate each other for "Can Do Awards" for going above and beyond the call of duty. Ben Clore, one of my favourite Prosper employees, comes around and acts like a little delivery man to bring us our award and gift certificates. It's awesome. I laughed so hard I had to get a photo. (sorry for the bad quality)
DAY SIXTY NINE ... 10 March 2009
DAY SIXTY EIGHT ... 09 March 2009
Dave has such huge veins that it's crazy. He was trying to make them look bigger for this picture (which is kinda sickening if you ask me ... haha) but pretty much they always bulge out of his arm. I tell him he has a big heart that is just pumping a lot of blood through him all the time. It's healthy right?

DAY SIXTY SEVEN ... 08 March 2009
This man, Elder Yoshihiko Kikuchi from the Quorum of the 70, (photo taken from google) has become my new favourite. He presided at our Stake Conference this weekend and it was amazing. I don't remember ever being in a more spiritual meeting. And so funny as well. Definite favourite quote: "If you want to be more spiritual eat more rice." Love this guy!

DAY SIXTY FIVE ... 06 March 2009
Today at work I took a little trip downstairs to drop some deliveries off in the FedEx dropbox. While there I noticed a small legal pad on the counter, with one sentence written on it. "Light is not working at Asnet". Hmmm. I laughed to myself and pictured someone leaving this anonymous plea for help, not bothering to tear off just one paper but leave the entire legal pad, hoping that the FedEx guy doubled as an electrician and would come to the rescue. (and PS ... the company I think they are thinking of is called Esnet, not Asnet) Live long and Prosper everyone.
DAY SIXTY FOUR ... 05 March 2009
Funny how the world ends when your cell phone dies. Mine got the littlest bit wet and went completely psycho. Not kidding. At first I got frustrated and then realised that I am glad it was my phone instead of a large number of things, including my laptop, my car, or any part of my body. Luckily for me my mum has kept her old old cell phone around for backup. To be completely honest, I hate it. It seems bulky and heavy and super duper hard to text on and the battery lasts like 4 hours. I tried running the blowdryer over the ruined phone for like 20 minutes hoping it would dry it out. Cross my fingers that letting it sit overnight will do the trick so I don't have to shell out $200+ for a new phone. (the one on the left is the dinosaur backup, and the lame-o broken one is on the right)

DAY SIXTY TWO ... 03 March 2009
I haven't had to do a book report since elementary school. Welcome to college! I am currently reading this little gem for a book report for my Race & Minority Relations class. It is actually really good. It's a mixed biography/autobiography about a boy who grew up during the '60's in the slums of Brooklyn. His mother was a white Jewish woman and she had 12 black kids (with two different black husbands who both died). They suffered so much racism and persecution and had a really hard life. It is really eye-opening and inspiring. So far I would recommend it (I'm only on page 102 .... ).

DAY SIXTY ONE ... 02 March 2009
We played Pictionary at FHE and all the clues were supposed to be gospel-related. Some cheeky person threw in some names of ward members to throw us off. Poor Lindsay Thompson had to draw 'Dave Cannon' and no one got it! I wasn't playing, so I couldn't guess, but I knew it as soon as she drew the little 'soul patch' (it got renamed). I was busting up laughing. She did a good job with the red curly hair though. I can see the resemblance.
